Treasure Hunting
Hi everyone! I have just received news of a most interesting treasure hunt going on in North America. The hunt is based off of a book written in 1982 called "The Secret" written by Byron Preiss. It involves elaborate paintings and poetic verses containing hidden clues to ceramic casks, which in turn contain a key to a safe deposit box in New York that contains one of the twelve zodiacal birthstones. The stones are no longer in the safe deposit box it seems, but the casks themselves have surpassed the actual stones in value anyways, being highly ornamental and worth about 1,200 U.S.D. Here at Lifusech, we are always seeking new and exciting links to our historical past, for the sake of increasing awareness, scholarship and predicting the future. (History has a way of repeating itself don't you know?) We're actually pretty lax in regards to our definition of "Artifact" or "treasure". Old books, arrow heads and other tools, scrolls or paintings, or really any piece of culture dating at least 70 years in age or older would be fine for archiving and further study. Members interested in joining this department should note that quantity is not very important at all compared to quality of the artifact. Responsibilities include:
1. Locating and photographing potential artifacts to be reviewed for relevancy and/or authenticity. Upon review, you may either bring the object/s to us directly, or we can send an agent out to collect the artifact. |
